Reform For Penn State Board Of Trustees
12/11/2012

A State legislator is proposing sweeping changes for the Penn State Board of Trustees.  Some of the reforms are the first ever proposed for the Trustees since the University was founded.  This set of changes is based on a similar proposal made a few months ago by the State's Auditor General.  The proposal starts with reducing the size of the Board of Trustees from thirty two to twenty two members.  Then two of the most powerful people on the board would no longer be voting members.  One of the desired results that Trustees will be more involved in and engaging in is University business.  But it is stressed for most at Penn State that this will not be a big change.
