Two local businesses out of 36 small companies have been awarded grants from the Department of Environmental Protection.  The Richland Veterinary Hospital in Cambria County received more than 6 thousand dollars while Snavely Associates got about 7 thousand dollars.  Both companies will use the funds to invest in energy efficient or pollution prevention projects....

Johnstown's Concurrent Technologies Corporation is part of a group awarded an 18 million dollar contract to support the National Defense University.  The University is the top school for joint professional education.  CTC will be providing academic and research support as well as information sharing.  It will also work with the University to develop new technology.
