The sentencing for two brothers that were behind a major defense contractor in Windber has been pushed back.  William and Ronald Kuchera operated Kuchera Defense Systems until the Government raided the facility in 2009 and charged the two with using Government funds for their personal expenses as well as providing kickbacks to friends.  The two pleaded guilty last spring and were scheduled for sentencing on Monday but the new date is December 17th.... 

A Friday night football game at Windber stadium has left three coaches from the visiting team under investigation.  The PIAA District Five Committee says there were three different incidents including one near the end of the game when Conemaugh Township's Head Coach was ejected after questioning a call on the field.  As part of PIAA rules he will be suspended and sit out during this week's homecoming game.  There were two other incidents including one that involved another coach being handcuffed by Police Officers after the game.  Conemaugh Township's Superintendent tells us that rumors about that coach being tazed are not true.  The PIAA Chairman for District Five sent this statement "Conemaugh Township and Windber student athletes were not involved whatsoever.  All involved parties were adults.  The players displayed sportsmanship through the course of the entire game and properly shook hands afterward.  They should be commended. "....

A lego benefit called Legorama, was held last night to raise money for a local first grader.  Brayden was diagnosed with a brain tumor in August.  He's now undergoing radiation after the tumor was removed at Children's Hospital....

The Department of Environmental Protection is reminding homeowners to inspect indoor and outdoor heating oil tanks to stay warm this winter.  About 25% of Pennsylvania homeowners use heating oil during the cooler months.
