Centre County Man Charged In Dog Shooting
10/17/2013

Sentencing delayed Thursday for a Centre County man charged with shooting his dog and letting it die.  Police say Barry Grove of Karthus admits he shot his dog in April because it was eating his chickens.  Neighbors called Police when they heard the dog crying for more then twenty minutes.  Last month Grove entered a guilty plea on a weapons charge.  Because of his previous criminal record he is not supposed to have a gun.  Grove withdrew the plea and is due back in court next month.  Prosecutors are seeking a multi year prison sentence.
