PSU Kidnap Story
A Penn State student is being charged after the Police say she made up a story about being abducted and assaulted. Twenty year old Penn State student Samantha Sernekos of New Jersey is facing misdemeanor charges after the Police say she made up an elaborate story of being kidnapped, assaulted and dumped in a remote location. The Police say Sernekos reported the incident on January 28th putting the Police and students on high alert and the Police say that became clear through their investigation. The Police say those time stamped videos did not match up with the time line Sernekos was giving them and she eventually admitted to the Police she made the whole thing up. This is a major concern for Anne Ard, the Director of the Women's Resource Center. But she says those few get a lot of attention discouraging other women who are victims to come forward.
