The Centre County District Attorney has put money collected from drugs to good use buying drug drop off boxes. Centre County Law Enforcement hopes 6 of these big blue boxes will help lower prescription drug abuse. The medications placed in the box will be destroyed by the Attorney General's Office. District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller says she bought the boxes through a grant paid for by funds confiscated by drug dealers after prosecution not tax dollars. People have less chance of getting there hands on other prescriptions if when they are unused they immediately get disposed of properly. The boxes are located at the Sheriff's Department, the Willow Bank Building in Bellefonte and the State College, Ferguson, Patton and Penn State Police Departments. The boxes are free to use.
