The Village at Penn State residents were struck by Cupid's arrow this Morning. Competing to see who can get the most hugs. They held the Annual Hug Competition to celebrate Valentines Day. Those who give out a hug get a signature on their heart shaped name tag. Participants with the most signatures win prizes. It also included a sweetheart luncheon and love songs, To honor the best hugger's. family members and staff joined in. Residents say the Valentine's celebration is a way to forget about problems you might be having and focus on what matters. "It means that somebody cares about you, you know? And I care about other people. And it gives me the opportunity to maybe make them feel a little bit better about themselves." Residents say although it is a friendly competition they take their hugging seriously and play to win.
