Bowling Fundraiser To Help Children With Disabilities
3/11/2010

A "penny a pin" is the motto behind a fundraiser in Cambria County that will help children and people with disabilities.
On Friday, the Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy will hold a fundraiser at Richland Lanes in suburban Johnstown.
Over the past few months, UCP staff members have been collecting "penny a pin" donations.  All the money raised is going to the Wii Wonders program.   The Wii Wonders Program provides community integration activities for individuals with disabilities.
Three games will be played, and it's open to the public.  People are being asked to come out and watch or join in.  The cost to play is only a "penny a pen".
According to Michael Oliver, Director of Business Development, "In today's competitive environment of non-profit fundraising, we are looking for an easy way for people to participate as sponsors."
The bowling gets underway Friday, March 12th at 1:00pm.  If you would like more information you are asked to call Scott Gilmore at 262-9600 Ext. #346.
