The Pennsylvania House of Representatives has unanimously passed a bill to honor the life of fallen state trooper Landon Weaver. The bill would rename the bridge on U.S. Route 22 over the Juniata River in Huntingdon County the Trooper Landon E. Weaver Memorial Bridge. "Trooper Weaver worked in Huntingdon County, so it was only appropriate to choose an area bridge to name in his memory." Weaver was shot and killed December 30th, 2016 in Juniata Township while responding to a dispute. The bill now goes to the state Senate for final approval. Weaver grew up in rural Blair County and graduated in 2012 from Central High School in Martinsburg. He was inducted into the State Police Academy in 2015 and married his wife Macy in June 2016.
