Plans are moving along in Centre County for a new drug court. Centre County Commissioners just announced a four hundred thousand dollar grant from the Department of Justice to help get it started. It will be overseen by Centre County President Judge, Pamela Ruist, who says a number of funding and other issues have already been addressed. "We have hired a coordinator and we have the policy and procedure manual nearly complete, we have received funding from the Commissioners and the Association of Pennsylvania Courts." The new court is a specialty court program aimed at repeat drug offenders.
