A Somerset couple is now facing homicide and conspiracy charges in the death of a 10 month old girl in April. The new charges were added Monday against Michael Wingard and Angalina Miller after the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said Friday that the baby died from blunt force head injury. Both are in the Somerset County Jail. Somerset County officials initially charged Wingard and Miller with aggravated assault endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering another person in August. Arianna Miller died from a traumatic brain injury April 14 at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC after being taken there four days earlier. Somerset Borough police said they responded to a ChildLine report of alleged physical abuse against the infant. Miller took her daughter to Somerset Hospital on April 9, where medical personnel found her to be unresponsive and unconscious but breathing. The infant was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma to the right side of the brain and was transferred to Pittsburgh.
