Efforts are underway to change how the voting lines are drawn. Even with the growing grassroots effort to fix the problem, it is still an uphill battle. "If you look at after 2010 redistricting, you can see where I have the Borough State College, Ferguson Twp., Then through Black Moshannon State Forest. You can tell you how the 77th district has changed in shape for recent years due to Gerrymandering, redistricting that favors a political party in power. "We look at districts around me, they are 70% one party. 80% One party. There is no diversity within their thought." Recently a growing drive for redistricting reform. "The government at the local level, you definitely work together and compromise and live together, is extremely important to pressure our legislators higher up the food chain." Groups are pushing for more fair process. Pennsylvania, one of the most heavily Gerrymandered states and the nation.
