The Department of Environmental Protection will be giving out free Radon detection kits to residents of parts of Centre County. It's invisible, and in this case, where a lot of home testing is being done for homeowners it brings awareness of how dangerous this gas called Radon can be. It is an invisible and odorless cancer-causing gas. Though Radon tests are not required by the State of Pennsylvania, at Keller Williams they highly recommend it. Pennsylvania is already prone to high Radon levels. According to one company that we talked to, these tests should be done at least once every two years, and again if you're not eligible to get this free test, you can get an at-home test to use from your local home improvement store.
