Johnstown Officer Sentenced

A former Johnstown Police Officer has been sentenced for stealing drugs and overdosing while on duty. It's been since the end of 2016 that this happened. That's when Slisz overdosed inside the Johnstown Police Department. That lead to a massive investigation as to how often he had been stealing drugs and how long. It came to and end today with an order of 9 months House Arrest and 2 years of Probation. That Sentence for a Burglary charge, Slisz faces another 14 months for an evidence tampering charge. At a hearing from front of a Judge, William Slisz along his mother and lawyer asked to be spared jail time. According to a District Attorney report, he may have been stealing drugs from as far back as Fall of 2015 and they had to throw out 21 cases as a result. He will also be paying as much as $1,000 in fines and $8,000 in restitution to the Johnstown Police.
