Martin's Garden Center Fire

Cleanup has begun at a garden center in Huntingdon County that caught fire Tuesday night. Two buildings were engulfed at Martin's Garden Center, which sits several miles outside of Tyrone. No one was injured, but it was a terrible loss for the business. On Wednesday, a lot of friends and family offered their help to clean up the debris. Cleaning up the debris is no easy task at Martin's Garden Center. For the owner Daniel Martin, it is a tough site to see. Luckily, the majority of their products were unharmed. Martin says it is going to cost a lot of money, in inventory alone he estimates roughly $50-$100,000 in losses and that doesn't account for two buildings that were destroyed. This is a busy time of year for the garden center, and they hope to be up and running soon. Martin tells us they hope to be open at least partially by Saturday and the Fire Marshall is still investigating as to what caused the fire.
