The State Supreme Court's recent redistricting decision means Centre County is now split between two Congressional Districts, and the dividing line is at a Township near State College where voters tell us they are still catching up with this new map. Half Moon Township used to be part of the Fifth Congressional District and now it is split between the 12th and 15th, leading to some confusion Tuesday for voters. Nobody knew about the changes in Half Moon Township until the Supreme Court issued a new map for the State Congressional Districts. For the County, it means changing and printing ballots, but there have not been additional costs, the same amount of polling equipment is used. Half Moon Residents are used to the Township being shifted between Political Districts, so this isn't a total surprise.
