A day after the first former Beta Theta Pi fraternity member to pleaded guilty in the case received no jail time, a second member is set to enter a guilty plea. According to court documents, Joseph Ems Jr is expected to enter a guilty plea Aug. 8. Ems faces charges of hazing and furnishing alcohol that were held over after he was initially charged in November. The plea announcement comes after former Beta Theta Pi member Ryan Burke was sentenced to house arrest and probation Tuesday in lieu of jail time. Prosecutors did argue for Burke to get jail time, but to no avail.
