Huntingdon Flooding

A disaster emergency has been declared in Huntingdon Borough, Porter Township and Alexandria Borough after flooding has closed of most roads in the borough. According to Huntingdon County EMA Director, Joe Thompson, the following roads are closed East Penn Street, Fourth Street, Penn Street, also known as the arch underpass Thompson says the primary point of access into the borough is Route 26 North. Police officers say to get to Altoona from Huntingdon, travelers can turn right off Gorsuch Road onto Stone Creek Ridge Road to get to the other side of the flooding. Huntingdon County offices are closed and all court hearings are canceled. Only essential personnel are to report today.
