Officials said two horses were rescued from a property in Blair County. According to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, the animals were rescued just before Christmas. The society said several people have offered to take in Chloe, a 10-year-old paint horse, and Claire, a 15-year-old bay Standardbred. Officials said, however, they still need help caring for the animals while they wait for a new home. Officials said anyone who would like to donate to their care can purchase Tyco Sweet 11 grain and fine shavings for bedding from Tyrone Milling. Donations can be brought to the humane society or members can pick up the orders from Tyrone Milling. If you or someone you know would be interested in housing the horses, contact the humane society at 814-942-5402. According to the society, the horses have been housed together for nearly a decade and it would like to see them stay together.
