Blair County Arts Festival

In Blair County, local high school students will show case their work at a local art festival. Some area high school students completed projects depicting world war ii history. A few of them are good enough to be position along side professional work. Students have their work displayed at the Blair County Arts Festival. Four pieces will be feature in the world war ii exhibit put on by the John Hines History Center. The Dr. Seuss inspired depiction was drawn. The work shows a more realistic view of a dog fight but utilizes symbolism. Hoover is inspired by their work. "The lightbulb doesn't go off automatically all the time. Dr. Seuss in the 1930s and 40s would create propaganda for America. I would play with the concept and have fun. The chicken dude there, the German word for boom, just fun little stuff." The work will be on display this weekend at Penn State Altoona as part of the Blair County Arts Festival.
