Alot of boys high school football played on the field this year. Last week, it was a different group of mounties taking the field at PV and they were doing so for a good cause. We take a look in this week's civic service report. [ Cheers and applause ] high Penns Valley High School held there annual powder puff football game November 14th, the event organized by the senior high student council pitched junior girls against seniors. "It is a good event, girls love it, they have been playing, we practice it for about a week nd a half now so they are ready to go. It is good time we all tell the girls as we are here to have a number one but also to share and show that girls can play football." This year, it is also raising money to benefit the Millheim pool at soldiers and sailors memorial park. "I have been swimming in the Millheim pool since I was five years old. I have worked there for three years as a lifeguard. The pool, it doesn't make a whole lot of money is so this a really nice fundraiser this and the Millheim triathalon really what keep us afloat." Despite the usual cool late fall temperatures, a good crowd came out to support the teams too which does not surprise pv teacher and coach Terrence Greene. "The community in itself, they support each other and these girls know that it is more than just football, they know it is about more than that, it is about each other, building, comraderie, when it comes down to it helping each other out, that's what Penns Valley does we are supporting the community."
