Franklin Inks New Deal

It looks like the rumors of James Franklin looking for another job can take a break for a while. The university announcing he signed a contract extension through 2025. The exact numbers of the contract have not been released yet, but they were approved today by the board of trustees compensation committee. He has been at Penn State since 2014 and his run included the 2016 championship and 2017 rose bowl and fiesta bowl. They are 10-2 this year. Franklin's record since 2016, third among active coaches in division i, behind only Clemson and Alabama. Franklin released a message on social media today, thanking university leaders and saying in part, it is not often a coach gets an opportunity to move back to their home state and coach the team they grew up watching. It is even more rare that it is a school as rich in history and tradition as Penn State
