Starting Monday, Mount Nittany Health will begin screening all employees, providers, patients and other people entering its facilities. Officials say this is to protect against the COVID-19 outbreak. In a news release, officials say Monday will mark the start of screening for those only entering the main entrance of the Mount Nittany Medical Center. The screenings will take place on Hospital Drive. According to Mount Nittany Health, on Tuesday, screenings will be required before entering any entrance of the building. Officials say all vehicles, except those traveling to the emergency department, will be stopped for screening. They will then be directed to turn right. The release says all traffic will be one way, unless traveling to the emergency department, where separate screenings will take place. On Wednesday, screening for all Physician Group and outpatient locations and Bellefonte Corporate Services will begin. According to Mount Nittany Health, during the screening you will be asked if in the last 14 days If you've Had a new onset cough or shortness of breath. Been in contact with a patient who tested positive for COVID-19. Traveled outside the U.S, Had a fever.
