PinkZone Game Raises Money For Breast Cancer

Juniata Valley Lady Hornet basketball team hosted the first area PinkZone game on Monday, January 31st raising more than $2,000.

Other area PinkZone games are scheduled for this Saturday, Feb 5, at Southern Huntingdon High School; Thursday, February 10, at Huntingdon Area High School; and Friday, February 11, at Juniata College.

Proceeds from fundraising events at each of these games will go towards the Penn State PinkZone breast cancer resources, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Alliance for Breast Care at J.C. Blair.  

Tickets for the Penn State PinkZone game on February 27 are $12 for adults and $5 for youth with $3 from each ticket sold going toward the Penn State PinkZone.  For tickets, visit www.GoPSUsports.com or call (814) 865-5555.  Breast cancer survivors and up to three other friends or family members will be admitted free by calling (814) 865-0403 or going to www.GoPSUsports.com/PinkZone  to register.  Survivors will be invited to participate in a special halftime ceremony as well as a post-game reception.

Area residents are encouraged to support the Alliance for Breast Care at J.C. Blair by attending one of the local PinkZone games, by attending the Penn State PinkZone game on February 27, by making a contribution or becoming a sponsor.
