The building that formerly housed a Hollidaysburg Elementary School has been sold.  According to the Altoona Mirror the School Board approved the sale of the former Allegheny Number One School for just over 600 thousand dollars.  The buyers plan is to turn the building into an assisted living facility with about 50 private apartments.  The school was forced to close last year because of mounting maintenance costs and declining enrollment.
