Deer hunting season kicked off across the state as thousands of hunters headed into the woods for opening day.  But new numbers show that less interest in deer hunting is having an economic impact in Pennsylvania.  We obtained a copy of the recent state legislative report on state forests the average hunter spends about twenty-five dollars.  But license sales have decreased in the last decade by nearly 115 thousand bringing the estimated loss of revenue to 285 million dollars.  However the Game Commission says overall license sales are up especially Junior License sales.
