Centre County a tentative budget for county government next year, it includes a significant increase in spending and revenue. The county commissioners say it is a direct impact of pandemic economics.
The 2022 to county budget plan, unveiled today, totals more than $107 million.
The current budget in Centre County is $81 million. Included next year is going to be a $1 an hour salary hike for most county employees and no increase to their health care premium costs.
The COVID related relief funding upped projected county spending and expenditures by more than 35%.
