2022 National School Archery Championship

The 2022 National Archery in the Schools Program Championships were held Today at Penn State.

There are about 900 students from across the state participating in the competition including students from 5 of our districts.

Officials say the top finishers in Today’s rounds have a chance to win awards and scholarships of up to $2000 for any higher education they choose in the future.

“Archery is growing and has been for many years. It’s a sport that any kid can do. Any size or shape. You don’t have to be a star athlete to be good at archery. You don’t have to be big, tall, or small. Anybody can do it.
It’s a lot of fun. Nobody can shoot a bow and say it wasn’t fun.”

This is the first time the NASP held in person championships since 2019.
