3/20 Coalition Holds Martin Luther King Jr. Events

The 320 Coalition also held several events of their own in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Today.

Community members were invited to an interactive display held in the Schlow Library community room in State College.

After that people were invited to the memorial for Black Lives at the MLK Plaza to reflect, sing, and chant.

“On a day like MLK Day in which we celebrate and honor his work, that the people who quote him so often may not necessarily always be the people who support the movement for black lives. those have might not been the people back in the day that wouldn’t have supported MLK either.”

She says these events also highlighted the group’s nearly 4 year history and the way leadership took inspiration from Doctor King.
