320 Coalition

Saturday marks the second anniversary since a State College man was shot and killed by police during a mental health check.

State College police went to the apartment of Osaze Osagie on March 20th, 2019.

Officers say he pulled out a knife and refused commands, which led officers to shooting him.

The Centre County district attorney found the shooting was justified.

Since then the 3/20 Coalition, a group founded after Osagie’s killing, has called for the resignation of several county leaders as well as charges against the officers involved.

The group hosted a march at the State College municipal building in a call for justice Friday.

According to the coalition, the gathering is also an opportunity for people to leave items at Osagie’s memorial.

There will be more activities Saturday throughout the day to remember his life.
