We’ve made it to Friday and that means another Feel Good Friday segment to hopefully put a smile on your face.
Our first story is pretty wild.
A woman is recovering after fainting while hiking at a national park in Utah and being rescued by Modern Family Star Julie Bowen
Minnie John was with her family climbing to the Summit of the Arches National Park last week when she began to feel faint and lightheaded.
She said she stopped to sit down and rest and told her husband and son to continue without her.
John passed out and hit her face on a rock.
She says the next thing she remembers is waking up to 2 women asking her questions and one of their faces looked very familiar!
“Because, you know, they’re stars. They didn’t have to stop. They cleaned me up and they, uh, gave me stuff to eat. I mean, she knew what she was doing.”
“First thing I thought was my mom must be hallucinating. So like she, she hit her face or maybe your head, I didn’t know. But yeah, ma, I thought she had a concussion.”
Julie Bowen and her sister, a doctor, helped John contact her husband and son. They also gave her electrolytes and food, and treated her wounds.
John said she learned how important it is to be both mentally and physically prepared for a hot summer hike.

This group of baby penguins first time in the water went swimmingly.
The Shedd Aquarium in Chicago shared this video of the 4 penguin chicks. As you can see the quartet dove right on in and splashed around. It’s hard to imagine these little penguins
hatched only a few months ago and are already learning to swim. The baby birds need to master their first introduction to water before they can join the aquarium’s full penguin colony.

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Nebraska welcomed this baby giraffe last weekend. The calf is already 6 feet tall and weighs about 140 pounds.
He’s also a quick study as the zoo says he stood on his own after just one hour. Right now the mom and baby are staying in a separate area.
They will be introduced to the rest of the herd in the coming weeks.
The zoo is planning to hold an auction later this year to name the calf.
This final story might make you a little hungry.

It’s made from ingredients like Peas and Rice with no GMO’s, Soy, Gluten, Hormones, Antibiotics, no Cholesterol.
The new Pizza is being tested for a limited time in 5 cities Albany New York, Columbus and Macon Georgia, Houston Texas and Jacksonville Florida.
