An Altoona man was convicted Yesterday on assault related charges after attacking another man with a pool cue.
The county district attorney says 30-year-old Alexander Deluca was found guilty on charges of aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, concealing a weapon without a license and other related charges.
The DA’s office says the charges stem from 2 incidents that happened in 2020.
This includes an incident where Deluca and another man were accused of luring a third man to their residence and assaulting him with a pool cue.
Investigators say Deluca then fired a gun near the victim after the assault.
Authorities add that Deluca faces a minimum of 5 years in prison.
Sentencing will be held at a later date.
