The Altoona School District hosted a vaccination clinic for students Today.
150 Students ages 16 and older got their shots with parental permission.
The clinic was made possible by a partnership with Thompson’s Pharmacy.
The district made the decions to conduct the vaccination clinic because its aware of the fact that young people are also getting the virus.
“We just felt that making it more convenient, and doing it right here, would be an effective event for our kids. Right now, we’re hoping that we get all of our kids, especially our
seniors, to the point where they don’t miss graduation, or they don’t miss the prom, those kinds of things.”
District officials say they’re looking to host more clinics in the near future.
