One player on the Greater Johnstown football team with a disability scored his first touchdown Friday night.
Yasir Robinson (also known as “YaYa”) is a senior who had a stroke around the time of his birth.
Although, that didn’t stop him from scoring a touchdown and a two point conversion.
“It was good. I didn’t expect that to happen. I’m just happy I had that touchdown,” Yasir said.
Head Football Coach Bruce Jordan says the opposing team, the Forest Hills Rangers, suggested this and helped let it happen.
Yasir’s mom, Aisha Robinson says she is so proud of her son.
“Obviously he killed it. He did a great job and scored a touchdown. He didn’t let his disability affect him in any way,” she says.
