The Bald Eagle Area School District teamed up with “BBQ by Clem” to serve meals to veterans on Wednesday.
Normally, the school district hosts a Veterans Day breakfast and district-wide assembly, but the virus situation changed those normal plans.
Active and retired military veterans were given a free meal of pork or chicken, and side dishes, all made by the Centre County-based small business.
“I love feeding people, especially veterans. They gave so much, that’s the very, very least we can do we wouldn’t have been able to get here without people to protect our liberties,” said Clem Pantalone, owner of BBQ by Clem.
