In Bedford County Today, Penndot officials met with county leaders and residents to discuss various projects.
Penndot officials say this construction season will focus mainly on bridge and roadway projects, with an initial budget of $120 million dollars from the Federal Infrastructure Bill.
They say meetings like these are vital to learning what concerns the public may have over certain areas.
“Meetings like this allows us to project and get these projects under design and maybe projects out in the future as late as maybe 2025. Well we get that input and there could be icing concerns or sight distance, guide rails or any safety issues. It allows us to hear those issues and bring them back and incorporate them in the projects.”
Officials say they hope none of the projects are deferred until next season due to rising prices of gas and supplies.
