In Bellefonte, public hearings are underway on improving safety measures at a downtown intersection. The Diamond is in the heart of the downtown, with several streets intersecting along with pedestrian walkways.
Temporary safety changes have been set up and the borough was considering two long term changes for traffic patterns, including making the intersection around about the approval process could take a while.
So here’s Bellefonte manager Ralph Stewart with more on the situation.
“Plainly, we need all all but both High Street and Allegheny Street are Penndot roads, so we absolutely need Penndot approval for any formal changes or permanent changes.”
Another public hearing on the Diamond is scheduled for Saturday morning at the Bellefonte Borough Building.
