Bellefonte High School Football

Our next stop on the High School tour hails from the Mountain League and has a new head coach taking the reigns after Shannon Manning left to take the head coaching job at Central Mountain.
Fresh off a 3-4 finish to 2020, this program is looking for a big bounce back year in 2021 and hopefully a trip back to the district playoffs. I’m talking about Bellefonte.

Former Bald Eagle assistant Vaughn Donmoyer will guide Bellefonte into 2021 as a first year head coach. He will look to bring Bellefonte it’s first district championship since 2019.

Bellefonte will employ a strong rushing attack this year, fresh off a season that saw them average 249 yards per game on the ground. Their top rusher Jamal Saunders is back and he was good for
over 100 yards per game.

Bellefonte should be strong up front, so look for them to play tough defense and grind out games for success this season. If things fall into place expect Bellefonte right back at the top
of the Mountain League. In the early goings the program will look for cohesiveness and a team approach over individual accolades.
