Bellefonte High School Service Project

Staying in Centre County the Bellefonte Area High School Spanish Honor Society is looking to help helping those less fortunate in Central America with their education and employment.

How are they doing this? By working with a nationwide non profit inititave called the Pulsera Project for this year’s service project.

Pulsera means bracelet in Spanish and the students are selling them made by artists and crafters in Guatemala and Nicaragua.

“I think it’s just great that we have this opportunity to do things like this to help out people in countries that need it. We have a lot here. It puts it into perspective, should give you a feeling we should help out those in need. I have this luxury but they don’t.”

The bracelets are being sold at the high school on Bishop Street during the lunch periods.
