There will be a meeting tonight by the Belllefonte school board to revisit the controversial issue of changing the school district’s logo and nickname.
For years they were known as the Red Raiders, but earlier this year the Bellefonte school board removed the native american imagery and dropped the word red from the nickname.
What’s next remains a key issue. Whether they’ll simply be known as the Raiders or something else.
The board took a break from the discussion with new board members being elected in the November general election.
Tonight’s public work session is being held at the Bellefonte Middle School.
