A Blair County man announced Tuesday his intent to run for protonotary.
Bill Straesser announced that he’s running for the position in the upcoming May primary.
He’s a Republican who will be facing Republican incumbent, Robin Patton.
In light of the current pandemic, he will be conducting a significant portion of his campaign online.
“I’ve seen that the efficiency of that office has declined considerably over the last four years, and if I were to be elected, I would clean that up and make it efficient, because if it runs at less than efficiency, the court system doesn’t work,” Straesser said.
The protonotary is the chief clerk and record keeper of the courts.
