Last February the Clearfield County Commissioners appealed the permit to build the Camp Hope Run landfill in Boggs Township. Now over a year later, they say the fight isn’t over just yet.
The Clearfield county commissioners appealed the permit issued by the DEP stating that up to 5,000 tons of waste will come into the Camp Hope Run landfill daily.
The commissioners said the discovery phase of the appeal process is slowly wrapping up due to COVID-19.
“There may be some procedural issues that can be taken care of by filing the appropriate motion with the environmental hearing board and disposing of that without a trial,” said John Sobel, Clearfield County Commissioner.
