Police in Brookville say a general manager at the Denny’s restaurant in town embezzled $217,159.
Police say they were dispatched to the restaurant on March 9 over concerns about cash deposits that were made.
Officers say they looked over accounting records which showed general manager, 34-year-old Erika Kennedy, stole $217,159.37 over a nine-month period starting in May of 2021.
Investigators say Kennedy allegedly admitted to the thefts in a phone call with the accounting company that oversees financial business through Denny’s.
They say a warrant has been issued for Kennedy’s arrest.
