Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees has identified the elderly man who was crushed to death Wednesday afternoon by a piece of machinery that he was working on.
Lees says 88-year-old Charles Strashensky was fixing a hydraulic line on a snow/front-end loader when it drifted backwards and landed on him.
The incident occurred around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday along Power Street in Cambria City.
Lees says Mr. Strashensky died as a result of “crushing injuries.”
