Cambria County Humane Society Partnership

The Humane Society of Cambria County has formed a partnership with local agencies to help find a missing dog.

Bailey is a one year old Irish Setter, was brought to the Humane Society of Cambria County after being rescued from unfit living conditions in an Indiana County home in February, along with dozens of other dogs. After about a month at the shelter, Bailey found a new home.

Shortly after being taken home, Bailey got entangled in her leash, and as her owners tried to fix it, she slipped away and went to her natural instinct which was to run. Lost pets can travel far distances and take a while to locate, so the Humane Society has put together an experienced team to help find her.

“So we have partnered up with some different groups. Right now, the Humane Society of Cambria County is working closely with the members of the Somerset County CART Team, as well as Pet Recovery Services of Cambria County, a newer group in the area.”

If you’d like to support the mission of finding Bailey as well as future lost pets, the Humane Society of Cambria County is accepting donations of gas gift cards to support the search team and canned dog food to use at feeding stations.

Information on all of this can be found on the Humane Society of Cambria County’s website.
