State Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed during an altercation in Cameron County Saturday Evening.
According to officials, the incident happened on the 100 block of Trailer Court Drive in Shippen Township just before 7 Pm.
State Police identified the victim as 63 year old Thomas Krivonyak, who was being served an eviction notice by the unidentified suspect when the physical altercation began.
Officials say that during the altercation, Krivonyak placed the suspect in a choke hold, leading to the suspect pulling out a handgun and firing it at Krivonyak, striking him.
Krivonyak died at the scene.
It’s unclear if charges will be filed.
