Starting pay at the Centre County Prison will be increasing as the latest move in trying to fill job vacancies.
Today Prison Warden Christopher Schell briefed county administrators on the newly proposed pay scale.
The starting salary for corrections officers will be upped to $21 dollars an hour.
Job turnovers and vacancies continue at the facility, and concerns were also raised bout retaining current employees.
