The seniors teed off first this morning
Dennis Brady entered the day with an 8 stroke lead. Rich Horvath right behind him tied for second after their first of two rounds
On the par 3 9th hole Brady from the tee to the beach up and out then sinks the putt for par Brady wins the senior division at 2 under par
Horvath with a long birdie putt on 9 almost gets it Horvath dropped down the board a bit today he tied for 4th at 12 over
The younger guys on round 3 finale round Greg Heider the leader from day one tied for 4th after two rounds on par 4 6th hole this chip will leave him with a chance for birdie the Westmont grad will
do it. He finished 3rd in the tournament at seven over
Now to the leaders Thomas Faccaini tied for first after two rounds, Faccaini rounded out the front nine in fashion on par 4 7th hole tee shot in the fairway a beautiful chip and then putt for birdie.
That is good
Next hole par 3 Facciani on the green in one a lengthy putt, Facciani birdies back to back holes
But out of the leader group only one player finished the find round in the 60’s and that was Derek Hayes makes the putt for par on 17
Then made magic on 18 with a four shot lead on the final hole, Hayes using a high iron off the tee box
Lands in the middles of the fairway his second shot lands right on the front of the green
The defending champion sinks the lengthy birdie to win back to back City Championships at Berkley Hills Golf Course.
Two close friends have flip flopped the title for the past few years but once the final score was inked in Hayes took the trophy
