Civic Service Report

With Halloween a little over a weekk away one local business wants to offer families a safe alternative to going door to door for trick or treating.

In this week’s Civic Service report we’re checking out Delgrosso’s first ever Del Ghoul So’s park trick or treating event.

“We were very sad not to see our young park guests, due to being closed to the pandemic, so it was a chance to give back to the community.”

After beng closed to visitors all Summer due to the pandemic officials with Delgrosso’s Park decided to team up with some local businesses to do something.

“We thought this would be a safe alternative. If you don’t feel safe going door to door, this is a safe alternative. You drive through and we place it right in the car.”

So on Thursday, October 29th, from 6:30pm 8:00pm. Buddy Bear will be out along with Delgrosso’s staff handing out trick or treat goodie bags to the first 12 hundred kids. In the Delgrosso’s to go parking lot, that’s by the water side of the park.

“We’ll give one bag per child in the car and then they can pull on out to the rest of their trick or treating or whatever their event is.”

Event staff are reminding everyone who comes to stay in their cars and to be prepared to sit in line as it is a drive-through event.

Staff say there will also be 50 boo bonus prize envelopes randomly placed in the bags. Which include all day fun passes to Delgrosso’s Park for 2021, coupons for free pizza at the DG 2go pizza shop and coupons for a free Delgrosso sauce pack.

And as always if you have a story of a person or organization helping others let us know. We’ll showcase them here in our Civic Service Report.
