In Clearfield County. A woman convicted in the killing of her 1 month old baby was sentenced To 6 months to 1 year in county jail according to District Attorney Ryan Sayers.
Authorities say Alexa Kephart & Dakota Canfield were under the influence of methamphetamines When the baby died in July of 2020.
CYS officials had an open case against the couple immediately following the child’s birth
When drugs were found in the baby’s system.
Canfield was also convicted but has not yet been sentenced.
